Greetings Soft Landing!
Drumroll please….we have placement! Soft Landing will have the exceptional placement of 6:45 & E for the 2025 Burn.
And….another drumroll please….it’s the moment we've all been waiting for: time to pay dues and sign up for shifts!
Before we get into the nitty gritty of shifts and dues, please review the other important items below. The deadline for theIntent to Camp/Space Request Form is right around the corner!
We are also still recruiting campers to join us for Build and Strike (camp teardown). In addition to being of great service to our camp (and to the playa!), build week and strike shifts count toward your camp shifts. Check out this informational document with tons of important details.
Intent to Camp / Space Request: Complete NOW!
The earlier we get your space requests and needs, the more innovative and creative we can be with designing a kick-ass camp this year. It’s imperative that we get 100% participation so that our camp designers have the information they need.
By June 30th, we need all campers to complete the Intent to Camp and Space Request Form.
You will indicate whether you will be utilizing community shade, staying with a pod, or requesting your own space.
If this form isn’t completed, we may not be able to accommodate your requests.

Ok, now onto SHIFTS and DUES!
There are a few easy steps in this process:
Review the “Information Page” on our website. Even if you have camped with Soft Landing in the past, there are always new changes and reminders worth reviewing.
Pay Camp Dues! This year, the dues structure is comprised of these three options:
1 shift and $450
2 shifts and $250
3 shifts and $150
If possible, PayPal is preferred! This saves the camp money from having to deal with fees. If you are on mobile, you may have to choose “Other payment options” to use PayPal.
Complete the Intent to Camp and Space Request Form no later than June 30th. Please also complete this form if you are planning to use community shade. If this form isn’t completed, we may not have space for your RV or trailer in camp!
Plan to attend a required acculturation & consent meeting via Zoom (see below).
Save the Date! Pre-Playa Planning & Acculturation Discussion
In order to build a safe and supportive community at Soft Landing, all new campers and SL veterans will participate in a pre-playa acculturation *and* consent conversation. Below are different session options; please choose the one most convenient for you and mark your calendars now! Zoom links will be shared in the July newsletter.
July 20th at 5 pm (Pacific)
July 31st at 5 pm (Pacific)
August 16 at 5 pm (Pacific)
Supper Club!
If you are new to Soft Landing, you may be wondering if the camp offers a meal plan, as some other camps do. We don’t. Instead, the Love Kitchen pod facilitates a voluntary, self-organizing alternative known as Supper Club. To learn more about this amazing opportunity to share meals with your fellow campmates, please review details here. Apply to join camp: Applications for new campers are open! Remember that all new campers must be sponsored by an existing camper. Please direct them to apply here. Make sure any new camper reads camp orientation guidelines here.
